uPVC fascias and soffits
Modern uPVC boards are rot-proof and available in white, black, grey and woodgrain finishes. Full replacement, removing the old timber completely, gives you a sound base and lets us inspect the rafter feet behind.

Replace rotten boards and leaking gutters with a clean, low-maintenance roofline that carries water away from your walls, and never needs painting again.
Fascias are the boards along the edge of the roof that the gutters are fixed to. Soffits are the boards underneath that close off the eaves. Together with the guttering and downpipes, they form the roofline: the system that takes rainwater off your roof and away from your walls.
When timber fascias rot, gutters sag and leak. When gutters overflow, water runs down the walls, saturates brickwork and render, and can cause damp inside. Rotten soffits also let birds and pests into the roof space.
We replace tired timber roofline with modern uPVC fascias and soffits and new guttering systems, fitted with the right falls and sound fixings. We also check the bottom row of tiles and the felt at the eaves, which is often damaged where boards have rotted.
Gutters and fascias seem minor until they start causing damage elsewhere.
Overflowing gutters soak brickwork and render, leading to internal damp patches.
Water at the eaves can rot the ends of rafters behind the fascia.
Gaps in rotten soffits let birds, squirrels and wasps in.
Water dumped at the base of walls can cause staining, splashing and ground saturation.
Timber boards need regular repainting just to stay sound.
We don't publish prices because every roof is different. After a free inspection you get one fixed price. These are the things that shape it.

Vented soffits or over-fascia vents keep air moving through the roof space to prevent condensation. Eaves protection trays support the felt at the edge of the roof so water drains into the gutter rather than behind it.
We fit half-round, square and deep-flow profiles. Deep-flow gutters suit larger roof areas and the heavy downpours common in Somerset. Correct falls to outlets stop standing water and overflow.
Downpipes are positioned to suit the roof area and connected to existing drains. We check that water is being discharged properly rather than onto the base of walls.
Replacing roofline during a re-roof is efficient, as access is already in place. Many customers have fascias, soffits and gutters renewed at the same time as their new roof.
When you call about fascias, soffits & guttering, you speak to Travis. He inspects the roof, prices the work and carries it out himself, bringing in trusted labourers only on larger jobs. There's no handover between a surveyor, an office and a crew, so nothing gets lost along the way.
You see photos of the problem before you're asked to spend anything. If extra work turns up once the job starts, you're shown the evidence and the options before anything changes. One customer put it simply: he kept them informed of any extra work needed, with evidence.
Every fascias, soffits & guttering job is quoted at a fixed price after a free inspection. You know the full cost up front, and it doesn't creep up if the job takes longer than expected. Travis prefers not to publish prices online, because guessing without seeing the roof helps nobody.

Heavy downpours rolling in from the Bristol Channel can overwhelm undersized or poorly maintained gutters across Bridgwater, Cheddar and Weston-super-Mare. Correctly sized, correctly falling gutters make a visible difference to how dry your walls stay.
Renewing the roofline is often combined with roof work. On recent re-roofs we have finished with fresh white guttering for a clean, complete result.
